In partnership with the Black Chamber Education Fund and the UC Irvine Office of Inclusive Excellence, the Black Chamber of Orange County presents our annual Black History Month Future Leaders Luncheon. In honor of the 15th anniversary of the building of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington DC, we take a look back on the message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as we turn towards today.
With this celebration as the backdrop, local leaders, elected officials, educators and students were treated to a truly unique experience built on programming aimed to highlight the Black community in its rich history of leaders in Orange County. Past and present key Black leaders were recognized, and we heard from four outstanding leaders representing our Community Voices.
As lunch was served, the remainder of the event allowed for meaningful conversations and thoughtful actions toward a deeper understanding.
